The Bocker Family

Today I got to meet the Bocker Family and I had so much fun with them! Christi is Kyle's and Torey's mom and I loved the tatics she used to make them laugh :)
Kyle is a senior at Corona Del Sol High School. Even though this was a family session we still managed to get a few "senior photos" for Kyle.

Back to the cute family:

This is my favorite:
Torey and her mom are so sweet together:

Thank you so much for spending the afternoon with me. It was a pleasure to meet you and I had a great time with all of you.

No Fat Talking

Today I received a link from a friend who's also a dietitian to a video that I felt compelled to share. Mostly because I found myself guilty of doing the "fat talk" too.  So here's my pledge to no fat talking. It won't be easy and if you "catch me" please point it out to me.
I think it's super important to make the right choices to stay healthy but the "fat talk" doesn't really achieve anything. In fact, it only has negative consequences. So, watch the video and commit to no fat talking. Here's to a healthier happier you (and your friends as well).

Matt & Melissa (& baby girl)

Meet my gorgeous, adorable, fun, sweet and pregnant sister-in-law, Melissa. I'm so happy we got to go visit her and Matt this past week. They are having a girl and I am so excited to be an aunt to a little girl! I think it's pretty safe to say she will be pretty spoiled.

Matt is one of the funniest people I know and while we were walking around this park I was trying to get some pictures of them but he couldn't not be funny for even a second. Melissa was cracking up and I just love this picture because it is definitely "them".

And this one makes me laugh - a lot!
I just love this shot. So much love: I know Matt and Melissa will be amazing parents and I'm really looking forward to meeting my niece :). Thanks you two for taking some time off work last minute to spend it with us . I had a really great time and I miss you already!

Montana

Curtis and I decided to take a little 5-day vacation and go visit his family in Montana. It was so wonderful to slow down a bit and enjoy his family's company. I love them!
His dad is a golf coach and I had my first golf lesson on Tuesday. I got really sore from the lesson so his mom had a masseuse come to the house and give me a massage. How awesome is she?! LOVE her!
Curt's home town is right on the lake and I love going for walks here.
I love eating at this place, it's called Wheat Montana. Super yummy sandwiches, my favorite is "yellowstone"And if you haven't had huckleberry you haven't been to MontanaAnd this is the view from his grandma's house:
Then we got to go visit Curt's brother and his wife who's pregnant with their first baby. We had so much fun with them! They live in Kallispel and we went for a little walk downtown after lunch and of course I had to ask them to let me snap a few photos. More photos of them to come on my next blog post :)
The drive back from Kallispel to Polson is so pretty:
Besides all the relaxation, awesome weather and good company I also got some cooking tips from my mother-in-law and ate approximately 37 cookies in the 5 days we were there. She makes the best cookies in the world!

I am so happy we got to spend some time in Montana this last week. For some reason it really feels like home to me.

Sweet Photogether

When I first had the idea of having a photographer's get together to try and develop a network of support and friendship, I was a little scared that no one would get the idea or even show up. However, I'm very happy to inform that I was completely wrong. Everyone who came is just so amazing and I feel so blessed to have these girls be part of my life now.

From left to right: Kara Layne, Gisele Holloway, Annie Gerber, Brenda Eden, Katina Patriquin, Gretchen Knoblock, Rachael Earl, Kym Ventola, Angie Sloan and Me - taking the picture. Can anyone with mad photoshop skills please add me to this photo?? Thanks!

It's always nice to be around people that don't think anything of you taking pictures of chairs and napkins :)

We had a lot of fun at Sugar Bowl, getting to know each other, eating, giggling and of course taking pictures. After Sugar Bowl we split up into groups to take headshots of each other. I was with Annie and Kym an we had a really great time.

Here's Annie:

Yes, she's beautiful. I know. And I think you can probably tell from the photos but I just want to say that she is just soo nice and sweet too.

And here's Kym. I LOVE Kym. Kym found out about our photogether when she went out to lunch with Melissa Jill. Melissa then called me and said she had met a photographer she thought I would get along really well with. She was soo right!
She's absolutely beautiful and in this photo she reminds me of Kate Winslet (the upgraded version of course).

I am so happy to say that our photographers' get together was a success! It was really great meeting everyone, sharing ideas and taking each other's headshots.

I am really excited for what the future holds for us. I am looking forward to the friendships and our growth as photographers.

Thank you to everyone who came and I'll see you all next month.

Make sure to check everyone's blog and leave some comments. Every photographer loves blog comments.
