Montana

Curtis and I decided to take a little 5-day vacation and go visit his family in Montana. It was so wonderful to slow down a bit and enjoy his family's company. I love them!
His dad is a golf coach and I had my first golf lesson on Tuesday. I got really sore from the lesson so his mom had a masseuse come to the house and give me a massage. How awesome is she?! LOVE her!
Curt's home town is right on the lake and I love going for walks here.
I love eating at this place, it's called Wheat Montana. Super yummy sandwiches, my favorite is "yellowstone"And if you haven't had huckleberry you haven't been to MontanaAnd this is the view from his grandma's house:
Then we got to go visit Curt's brother and his wife who's pregnant with their first baby. We had so much fun with them! They live in Kallispel and we went for a little walk downtown after lunch and of course I had to ask them to let me snap a few photos. More photos of them to come on my next blog post :)
The drive back from Kallispel to Polson is so pretty:
Besides all the relaxation, awesome weather and good company I also got some cooking tips from my mother-in-law and ate approximately 37 cookies in the 5 days we were there. She makes the best cookies in the world!

I am so happy we got to spend some time in Montana this last week. For some reason it really feels like home to me.

Sweet Photogether

When I first had the idea of having a photographer's get together to try and develop a network of support and friendship, I was a little scared that no one would get the idea or even show up. However, I'm very happy to inform that I was completely wrong. Everyone who came is just so amazing and I feel so blessed to have these girls be part of my life now.

From left to right: Kara Layne, Gisele Holloway, Annie Gerber, Brenda Eden, Katina Patriquin, Gretchen Knoblock, Rachael Earl, Kym Ventola, Angie Sloan and Me - taking the picture. Can anyone with mad photoshop skills please add me to this photo?? Thanks!

It's always nice to be around people that don't think anything of you taking pictures of chairs and napkins :)

We had a lot of fun at Sugar Bowl, getting to know each other, eating, giggling and of course taking pictures. After Sugar Bowl we split up into groups to take headshots of each other. I was with Annie and Kym an we had a really great time.

Here's Annie:

Yes, she's beautiful. I know. And I think you can probably tell from the photos but I just want to say that she is just soo nice and sweet too.

And here's Kym. I LOVE Kym. Kym found out about our photogether when she went out to lunch with Melissa Jill. Melissa then called me and said she had met a photographer she thought I would get along really well with. She was soo right!
She's absolutely beautiful and in this photo she reminds me of Kate Winslet (the upgraded version of course).

I am so happy to say that our photographers' get together was a success! It was really great meeting everyone, sharing ideas and taking each other's headshots.

I am really excited for what the future holds for us. I am looking forward to the friendships and our growth as photographers.

Thank you to everyone who came and I'll see you all next month.

Make sure to check everyone's blog and leave some comments. Every photographer loves blog comments.

Cara & Jonathan

Last Saturday I had the awesome opportunity to second shoot for Kimberly Jarman. I started the day hanging out with the boys while Kim was with the girls. I have to say I had so much fun with Jonathan and his groomsmen. There were times when I was laughing so hard I couldn't even hold the camera steady enough to keep shooting. But not to worry, we had a great time AND got great pictures.
Here's Jonathan's cuff links. Nice detail!

Jonathan and his groomsman had these awesome All Star Converse engraved with their names: Here's the groom's pair:While we were waiting for the girls to arrive, we got some fun guy pictures:I dared him to do it:Once the girls arrived, it was easy to understand why Jonathan was in such a good mood. Cara is gorgeous and really super sweet.I kinda fell in love with her bouquet:And to make it even better, the bridesmaids bouquets were completely different but equally gorgeous:Moments before the ceremony:Cute kids all over the place:Remember the groomsmen cool shoes? This is the best man and his son:Some reception details:Jonathan and his mom were just so cute together:Fun times:
Congratulations, Cara & Jonathan! I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together.

Kim, thank you so much for this opportunity. I had an amazing time.
